48 rare animals released into Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park
Forty-eight rare animals have been released into the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh, from the beginning of this year.

The information was released by the centre for the rescue, preservation and development of creatures under the management board of the park.
Many of them are listed on the Vietnam Red Book, including palm civet, assam macaque, nother pig-tailed macque and reticulated python.
According to the centre, the released animals have quickly adapted to their surrounding environment in the park.
In recent years, thanks to communication campaigns conducted by the local authorities, locals’ awareness of forest protection and observance of the law has been raised.
Many residents have voluntarily handed over rare animals to the centre for conservation.
