Vietnam lost 0-1 to Turkmenistan in VFF Cup opener
(VOV) - The national squad was beaten by Turkmenistan 0-1 in the opening match of VFF Cup 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City on October 24.
Turkmenistan’s team leader Bayramov opened the scoring in the 57th minute of the second half after being held to a goalless draw in the first.
The score remained 1-0 in favour of Turkmenistan until the final whistle.
Two years ago, Turkmenistan smashed Vietnam 6-2 in the qualifying round of the 2010 Asian Games (ASIAD) in Guangzhou, China.
