Vietnam will do its utmost to develop friendship and comprehensive cooperation with China to a new height, particularly in the fields of science and technology, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung while receiving the director of the China Institute of Technology Xu Jiang Ding in Hanoi on May 18.

PM Dung stressed that Vietnam attaches great importance to fostering the multifaceted cooperation with China under the motto “friendly neighbours, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability and looking towards the future”, which was agreed by the leaders of the two countries.

The Party and State of Vietnam consider education, training, science and technology as a top priority for the country’s socio-economic development policy, Mr Dung said.

The Chinese guest expressed China’s willingness to share experiences of developing science and technology with Vietnam, thus helping to accelerate the country’s modernization and industrialization process.
