Hanoi hosts European Literature Days

(VOV) - For the fourth time, EUNIC, an association of European cultural institutes and embassies, is introducing new contemporary literature from Europe in Hanoi.

At this year’s event, which began on May 22, bookworms will have the opportunity to explore best-sellers from nine European nations, including France, Germany, Britain, Poland, and Sweden.

They will also have the opportunity to meet famous European writers such as Aoife Mannix (UK), Katharina Hagena (Germany), Christoph Links (Germany), and Magdalena Witkiewicz (Poland).

Most notably, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Lorenzo Angeloni will make an appearance premiering his latest book entitled "Behind every person”.

The novel, which has been translated into Vietnamese, tells about the journey of a child from a failed marriage in a search for love and the struggle to find meaning as to the existence of life.

Within the event, visitors can register to participate in a workshop on writing instruction, or watching movies adapted from selling novels.

Activities are taking place at the Goethe Institute, the French Cultural Centre - L'Espace and the Italian house - Casa Italia.
