Hue Festival set to kick off April 29

VOV.VN - The organizing board has announced the opening ceremony for the 9th edition of the Hue Festival will broadcast live starting at 8:00 pm on April 29 on Vietnam Television (VTV1).

Last minute preparations are underway, said Nguyen Dung, vice chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Province People’s Committee, and everything is going as planned and on schedule.

Some 22 art troupes from 18 nations are participating in this year’s event, he said, which promises to be  quite an extravaganza and the largest festival in the event’s history.
