Romanian dancers enchant Hanoi audience

VOV.VN - Special traditional dances and songs presented by Romanian Doina Oltului art troupe on the evening of March 15 gave delight to Hanoi audience.

The program is within the cultural cooperation framework signed between the two nations during the Vietnam visit by Romanian Prime Minister last July.

Romanian artists perform Calusari dances recognized as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.


Established 50 years ago, Doina Gorjului now has 90 staff, including 24 bandsmen, 30 dancers and 10 singers.


Doina Gorjului artists introduce songs and dances of different regions in Romania like Oltenia, Muntenia, Maramures, Moldova, Bistrita Nasaud, Oas, Bihor, Somes, Ardeal and Banat.










Besides the performance in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Doina Oltului will join Vietnamese and Wallonie-Bruxelles artists in a show on March 17 at Hanoi Opera House.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien and Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Valerui Arteni present flowers to artists.
