Vietnamese short film wins award in Singapore

“Vi” (Taste), a film by Vietnamese director Le Bao has won “Most Potential Project” award at the Singapore International Film Festival that took place from November 23 to December 4.

Producer Dong Phuong Thao
The film is about Bassley, a Nigerian football player who experienced many jobs to earn a living in Ho Chi Minh City with a hope to reunite with his wife and children soon.

The short film is only an idea for a long movie but it was made carefully by Le Bao and producer Dong Phuong Thao who spent much time to persuade foreign actors to join the film.

Before being sent to the Singapore International Film Festival, the film was screened at the Thailand Film Festival in August.
