Young fine arts festival 2024 launched in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The seventh young fine arts festival was launched on May 13 in Hanoi, opening to all Vietnamese citizens aged between 18 and 35 based both in and outside of the country.

Upon addressing the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, who is acting as head of the festival’s organizing board, described the biennial festival as a chance for young artists nationwide to show off their artistic talents.

According to the organisers, artists are encouraged to compose in free topics, expressing humanity, goodness, and social life in active way with high aesthetics.

Entries can be of various categories, including painting, graphics, statue, relief, installation, performance, visual arts, and other contemporary art forms.

Each contestant will be able to send a maximum of three works to the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition at 38 Cao Ba Quat street in Hanoi until August or through email at festivalmythuattre2024@gmail.com.

Artistic entries to the festival must have been created between 2022 and 2024. In addition, pieces that have previously been displayed at any national exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will not be considered.
