State leader, OVs offer incense to late President Ho Chi Minh
VOV.VN - President Tran Dai Quang and overseas Vietnamese representatives offered incense to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh at House 67 in the presidential historical relic site in Hanoi on February 7.

The commemorative activity was held on the occasion of the 88th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday which falls on February 16.
Those joining the event included leaders from ministries, departments and the capital city.
President Quang and the Vietnamese Overseas returning home took part in the annual “Xuan Que Huong” (Homeland Spring) 2018 then released carps into the Uncle Ho’s fish pond in observing the traditional Kitchen God Day ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet).

The same day, President Quang and delegates also burnt incense to the ancestors who scarified their life to defend the country at the Kinh Thien Palace in the imperial citadel of Thang Long.
With nearly 4.5 million Vietnamese expats living, working and studying in more than 100 countries and territories around the world, the overseas Vietnamese community also show their great interest in and turn their hearts to the home country, especially on special occasions like the traditional lunar New Year festival celebration.
