The Vietnamese businesspeople who have been operating effectively in Laos have contributed to Laos' socio-economic development, and created many jobs for workers in both countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the statement at a meeting with representatives from Vietnamese businesses in capital Vientiane on January 7.
They included the Laos-Vietnam Insurance Joint Venture Company (LVI), Long Thanh golf course and sports complex, and An Phu Joint Stock Company.
He encouraged them to increase the quality of their products, promote their trademarks and strengthen the solidarity and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries.
Deputy PM Phuc also paid a visit to the Vietnamese embassy in Vientiane where he wished the embassy staff a Happy New Year and success in accomplishing their mission.
