Reference exchange rate remains unchanged
The State Bank of Vietnam announced its reference VND/USD exchange rate at VND22,375/USD on May 23, the same as the previous day’s rate.

With the current +/- 3% VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is VND23,046 per USD and the floor rate is VND21,704 per USD.
Rates offered by major commercial banks fluctuated slightly.
Vietcombank listed its buying rate at VND22,655/USD and its selling rate at VND22,725/USD, down VND5 in both from May 22.
BIDV also maintained its buying and selling rates at VND22,655 and VND22,725, a decrease of VND5.
Techcombank made no change to its buying rate of VND22,640 and reduce its selling rate by VND5 to VND22,735.
