Sri Lanka looks to be most open economy in South Asia

During the event, he also presented an overview of Sri Lanka’s socio-political and economic landscapes as well as its latest outstanding achievements.

According to him, since taking office last September, the Sri Lankan government has been pursuing five strategic goals of promoting economic growth, fighting corruption, ramping up infrastructure and education quality, and ensuring citizens’ rights.

He revealed that the country is working hard to develop into a hub for services and manufacturing supplies for the region and the world, and is paying more attention to high-value farming production for domestic consumption and exports.
