Vietnam Airlines signs lease agreement for 6 Airbus jets
VOV.VN - Duong Tri Thanh, CEO of Vietnam Airlines, announced today (Feb. 15) that the air carrier has signed a long-term lease agreement with Aviation Capital Group for six new Airbus A321neo jets.
These aircraft are from ACGs order book commitment with Boeing. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in early 2018.
Vietnam Airlines is delighted to be partnering with ACG, one of the premier international aircraft leasing companies in the world, for providing six widebody aircraft to facilitate our fleet expansion plans, said Thanh.
This aircraft is beloved by passengers and plays a crucial role in the development of our long-haul network, he added. With the Airbus A321neo jets we will open a new chapter in our history.
This aircraft will give as an opportunity to significantly increase the capacity on our existing, most popular routes, in addition to opening new ones.
