Vietnam, New Zealand enhance trade links

VOV.VN - New Zealand business representatives in Vietnam have had a recent meeting with the Vietnam Embassy’s trade official in Hamilton, Waikato to learn more about Vietnam’s business and investment environment.

The meeting was jointly organised by the Trade Office under the Vietnam Embassy in New Zealand, the Voice of New Zealand Exporters (ExportNZ) in Waikato, and the ASEAN – New Zealand Businesses Council (ANZBC).

ExportNZ and ANZBC briefed the participants on their support for businesses doing business in the ASEAN and Vietnam markets, and their plan to dispatch a delegation of 15 – 20 members to explore Vietnam’s market in 2017. 

During the meeting, Vietnamese investors also shared their business experience in Vietnam.

Commercial Counselor Nguyen Kim Phuong briefed NZ representatives on Vietnam’s recent economic development, business climate, and assistance given by her office. 

Being the fourth biggest region of New Zealand with 2.5 million hectares, Waikato's stample export items are milk, meat, farmed fish, forestry and wood products and farm products.
