Pakistan is interested in digital experiences from VOV and plans to send its staff from the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation to attend training courses in Vietnam.

Murtaza Solagi, Director General of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation made the statement at a meeting with Director General of Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Vu Van Hien in Hanoi May 25.

At the reception, Mr Solagi congratulated VOV on its successful organisation of the eighth Asia Media Summit (AMS 8). He said Pakistani people often talk about Vietnam’s heroic struggle for independence and freedom and he himself has been very impressed by Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements in the past decade.

VOV Director General Vu Van Hien said VOV is willing to receive technicians from foreign countries to share its experiences. He then spoke of major projects which will soon be implemented by VOV, such as the launch of a national traffic channel with 3,000 wireless cameras put in place nationwide to cover the traffic situation in all parts of the country.

He added that VOV is willing to cooperate with Pakistan in staff training and application of new technologies in the broadcasting industry.
