Dozens hurt in multi-vehicle crash on National Highway 1

VOV.VN - A crash involving dozens of vehicles and a tractor-trailer shut down National Highway 1 in District 12 of Ho Chi Minh City for approximately two hours on the morning of Friday (June 2).

Emergency management calls this one of the worst accidents in the City’s recent history, considering the sheer number of people involved.

Officials say a tractor-trailer rear ended a bus when it slowed at a red light causing a change reaction that involved dozens of other vehicles including motorbikes and autos just before 6am.

At least one person was hospitalized with life threatening injuries while dozens more received lesser injuries.

Roads are now open, but the cleanup is still far from over.
