Hanoi, Vientiane women look to forge business partnerships

The women’s unions of the Vietnamese and Lao capital cities of Hanoi and Vientiane are expected to help with the creation of cooperation opportunities and partnerships for their members.

The opinion was expressed by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang during her reception for visiting President of the Vientiane Women’s Union Khamphay Latsamy in Hanoi on June 29.

She also affirmed her support for the initiative to open a Lao restaurant in Hanoi and vice versa, describing it as a practical activity of the two capital cities’ women.

Hang expressed her hope that the two unions will act as a bridge for the businesswomen from the two countries to work together for respective economic and cultural development.

Khamphay Latsamy briefed her host of the outcomes of her visit to the Hanoi Women’s Union.

She said the two unions signed a five-year agreement in which the Hanoi’s union will support the Vientiane’s and share experience in leading a happy family with progressive lifestyle and promoting gender equity.
