Holiday-makers face prolonged delays at Tan Vu-Lach Huyen Bridge
VOV.VN - Traffic chaos has hit the popular holiday destination of the island of Cat Hai, with a queue of National Holiday revellers at the Tan Vu-Lach Huyen Bridge waiting for hour on end to cross.
This has resulted in a high demand for the ferry services crossing the sea to the island of Cat Hai. |
Five large ferries and two smaller ferries have run continuously from 5am until late in the evening to meet the increased vehicular demand. |
Many holiday-makers choose to return home at 2pm on September 3, leading to severe traffic congestion. Pictured are thousands of cars lined up for the ferries at the wharf at Cai Vieng. |
The traffic jam extends for about 2km. |
Several holiday-makers choose to walk to the ferry. |
Until 7pm, ferry workers still work to carry visitors from the island of Cat Ba back to the mainland. |
