Newly released Czech-Vietnamese dictionary receives top honours
VOV.VN - The third of a six volume Czech-Vietnamese dictionary was presented an award by the Czech Translation Council at a ceremony in Prague on May 13 for its meticulously written presentation.
The dictionary comprising six volumes is considered a bilingual encyclopaedia, as it covers a wide range of subjects including society, culture, history, biography, and geography.
To date, three of the six volumes have been published. Mr Tien said the award serves as a great encouragement for him and Professor Vasiljev to complete the remaining three volumes.
“It’s an honour for not only the authors but for the entire Vietnamese community residing in the Czech Republic,” said Mr Tien. “The dictionary helps us define ourselves and our noteworthy contribution to our host country.”
Initiated a decade ago, the fourth volume of the dictionary is scheduled to hit the press this coming November.
