OVs in Russia celebrate Lunar New Year
VOV.VN -On February 5, the Vietnam Embassy hosted a banquet at the Hanoi-Moscow Complex in the Russian capital city to welcome the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).
Those in attendance included representatives from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Security Service, the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, and the Russia – Vietnam Friendship Association.
Vietnam Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son said he was delighted at the Russian guests’ presence which signified the strong friendship between the two nations.
He expressed his hope that bilateral relations will continue to grow and flourish this year.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese people in Saint Petersburg also held a year end party attended by Russian officials and friends.
More than 100,000 Vietnamese nationals are working and living in Russia, including some 6,000 students, and the numbers are on the rise.
