OVs march calling for China’s respect for int'l law

VOV.VN - Vietnamese and Japanese people have flocked to the streets in Fukuoka and Hiroshima to call on China to respect international law and a recent ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague on East Sea disputes.

In Fukuoka, 200 demonstrators under police control chanted slogans in Vietnamese and Japanese, demanding that China respect international law, stop its provocations and militarization in the East Sea.

They rejected China’s groundless nine-dash-line claim and welcomed the Court’s ruling.

They marched to the China Embassy in Fukuoka to present appeals in Vietnamese, Japanese, and English, which asked China to abide by the Court’s ruling and affirmed Vietnam’s indisputable sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagoes.
