Tan Son Nhat airport has multi-storey parking lot

A smart multi-storey parking lot was inaugurated at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on November 16, meeting increasingly huge demand for vehicle parking and helping reduce rising traffic congestion in front of the airport.

The total cost of the parking building in front of the domestic terminal is VND550 billion.
Consisting of a basement, a mezzanine and five upper floors, the parking lot can accommodate around 240 autos outdoor, especially taxis and buses, and 1,740 cars and 6,000 motorcycles indoor.

The parking lot received 6,000 to 9,000 motorcycles a day during its trial operation. Parking fees are VND5,000 (US$0.2) per eight hours for motorbikes and VND20,000 (US$0.9) every 20 minutes for autos.

The parking lot uses a smart management system that can monitor vehicles going in and out, and kept inside, and has an automatic fire fighting system.

A tunnel will be constructed to allow passengers to walk between the parking lot and the domestic terminal, tackling traffic congestion in front of the domestic terminal.
