Tuan Chau International Port puts new terminal into service

Tuan Chau Group put an upgraded terminal into operation on October 25 to better serve passengers to the UNESCO-recognised world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay.

The new terminal, expanding over 8,000 square metres, has over 1,000 seats, air conditioners and large-scale monitors to update cruise schedules. Its lounge area can accommodate 3,000 people.

The facility also includes children’s areas, a super market, a post office, a health care station, art performance stage, among others.

Director of the Tuan Chau International Port Pham Thanh Tung said the old terminal, which was put into operation earlier this year, cannot meet the daily capacity of over 7,000 passengers to the Ha Long Bay.

The new terminal is expected to meet high-end and increasing demand of foreign and domestic passengers, Tung said.
