Zika-virus prevention campaign launched

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Health and the HCM city People’s Committee on March 5 launched a campaign to prevent Zika-virus related diseases and dengue.

The municipal Health Department said it will provide enough equipment, chemicals, and medicines for medical diagnosis and treatment and epidemic prevention for all clinics.

Deputy head of the department Nguyen Huu Hung said the prevention of dengue and Zika-virus related diseases requires close coordination between relevant agencies.

"The people should kill all larvaes. People’s committees play an important role in encouraging the people to get involved in the campaign. Eight important districts in HCM city have joined the campaign," he noted.
