Luu Duc Hai to represent Vietnam at Asian chess tourney

Chess player Luu Duc Hai will represent Vietnam at the 2016 U50 and U65 Asian Chess Championship, according to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training. 

Hai was chosen following his results at the A65 Southeast Asian Chess Championship, which finished in Pattaya, Thailand, in June, where he won two gold medals and one bronze. 

The U50 and U65 Asian Chess Championship will take place from October 26 to November 5 in Mandalay, Myanmar. 

The annual tournament debuted in 2010 with the first tournament held in Iran.
