Vietnam beat Syria 2-0 in friendly match

VOV.VN - Vietnamese footballers beat their Syrian counterparts 2-0 at an international friendly match at the My Dinh National Stadium on May 31. 





Le Cong Vinh, head of the Vietnamese squad, opened scoring in the 34th minute and Van Quyet made it two with a goal timed at 45'+1. 








Nguyen Huu Thang, the Vietnamese team’s coach, said the match was a warm-up round ahead of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2016, which is scheduled to take place from November 19 to December 17. 

To the Syrian side, this is also their first match in preparation for the finals round of World Cup 2018, he said.
