Women's volleyball team moves up 7 spots in FIVB rankings

VOV.VN -The Vietnam Young Women’s Volleyball Team has moved up seven spots to stand at No. 18 overall in the latest official FIVB World Rankings.

Updated this week, the international rankings are based on points earned at major tournaments. Among Asian countries, Japan ranks No. 3, China No. 8, Taiwan No. 13, Thailand No. 17, and the Republic of Korea No. 22.

The jump is attributable to the victory and points earned in the team’s 3-1 win over the Republic of Korea in the quarter-finals of the recent SMM 18th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship 2016 in Thailand.
