Samsung holds supplier diversity workshop
VOV.VN - Samsung in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade held a supplier diversity workshop on September 9 at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park.

Samsung is committed to its supplier diversity program, said Lee Sang Su, president of the Samsung Electronics Ho Chi Minh City Complex manufacturing division and we are actively seeking qualified local suppliers.
He said Samsung wants its supplier base to reflect the diversity of its customers and employees and the company realizes that in order to accomplish that they need to forge new relationships with reliable local suppliers.
This workshop, he said, was a great forum to start developing these relationships.
The event began with a discussion from Samsung on the importance of supplier diversity to the company. Attendees also had the chance to showcase their company and capabilities.
The day concluded with breakout sessions, which included one-to-one interviews with Samsung’s corporate supply chain. Samsung will now make its selection and send out 70 letters of invitation for follow up interviews.
