Thailand gears up for HCM City trade fair

VOV.VN - The Thai Ministry of Commerce has announced that final preparations are underway for a massive trade fair set to transpire from May 6-8, inclusive, at the Thailand Trade Centre in Ho Chi Minh City.

The three-day event formerly known as Thailand Week, is expected to attract tens of thousands of buyers from around the globe including the US, EU, Russia, China, South America, ASEAN and the Middle East, said the Ministry.

“We fully expect as many as 30,000 visitors.”

Our goal said the Ministry is to showcase Thai commercial goods and services and highlight the innumerable mutually beneficial trade opportunities through activities such as seminars, contests, trend updates and special offers.

With the formation of ASEAN at the beginning of the year, we are entering a new epoch and thinking through what we have learned over the past 14 years of putting on trade fairs in Vietnam, said the Ministry.

Traders, investors and businesses in Thailand and Vietnam have realized a growing vibrant trade but have really just barely scratched the surface of the true potential and our aim is to stimulate, in particular, business-to-business trade.
