Vietnam has dropped one place lower than last month to 126th position on the FIFA May rankings of 205 national men’s football teams worldwide, which were announced on May 17.
According to the rankings, Vietnam is placed 26th in Asia, and fourth in Southeast Asia, following Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
The country’s football team has slipped significantly compared to its rankings in 1998 - 84th in the world, 20th in Asia and second in Southeast Asia.
