The ceremony attracted the participation of State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, international delegations, non-government organizations, representatives from 10 provinces and cities in the north, and more than 1,000 delegates from relevant ministries and agencies
Ms Doan has called on the Party units, organisations, political system and people to improve their awareness about activities to prevent drugs, prostitution, and other social evils.
The action month also aims to change behavior of leaders, social organisations and people towards the issue, strengthen access to services providing care, HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention for all people, and reduce discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS.
The event was launched by the National Committee for AIDS, Drugs and Prostitution Prevention and Control, the Ministry of Health, and the provincial People’s Committee.
