Japan will provide US$101,158 in aid for a project to build a primary school in My Son commune in the central province of Nghe An’s Do Luong district.

The signing ceremony for the grant was held in Hanoi on March 24.

Japanese Ambassador Yasuaki Tanizaki expressed his hopes that the project would improve primary school education in My Son commune and further deepen the friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam.

The People’s Committee of My Son commune planned to build a two-storey school building with eight classrooms and to renovate the old building, built in 1962, in order to create a positive learning environment, reduce class sizes and improve primary education in the commune.

The same day, a grassroots grant assistance contract funded by the Japan government was also signed in Hanoi for upgrading the Thanh Hoa Industry Technical Vocational School.
