Prof. Vu Van Hien, General Director of Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), is leading a senior delegation on an official visit to Thailand for a second meeting of the joint committee between VOV and the Thai Public Relations Department (PRD).
At the meeting, both parties reviewed what they have done since the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 1999.
They discussed a new draft for cooperation in the exchange of cultural activities, radio and television broadcasting, and online news, which will be signed in 2011.
Speaking at the session, Prof. Vu Van Hien said that as both countries have a lot in common, especially in cultural field, bilateral cooperation will have the potential to develop.
Under the agreement reached at the meeting, the PRD will send artists to Vietnam to celebrate the millennial anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and VOV’s 65th anniversary.
