Vietnam plans to build a museum with the aim of preserving the country's natural history collections for posterity.

The museum, which covers 10 hectares in Me Tri area of Hanoi's outlying Tu Liem district, will include a 3-ha indoor exhibition and a 7-ha area reserved for outdoor exhibits with displays covering the natural world in general and Vietnam in particular.

The museum will help enhance educational programmes for adults, children and kids to love their natural surroundings.
