Vietnam’s leading tour operator, Saigontourist has welcomed the Costa Classica cruise ship with 2,000 crew and passengers from Italia, Spain, the UK and Germany at Navi Oil port in Ho Chi Minh City on January 12.

This is the first trip the 5-star cruise ship has made to Vietnam this year after a series of visits to the city in 2009.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the passengers will visit Ben Thanh market, the Phuong Nam lacquer painting workshop, enjoy coconut candy, fruit and honey tea in the Mekong Delta and visit the Cu Chi tunnels and Tien Giang province.

After sailing from Ho Chi Minh City, the ship is scheduled to dock at Tien Sa Port in the central city of Da Nang on January 14, where the passengers will visit Ngu Hanh Son (Five marble mountains).

They will then take a boat trip on the Thu Bon river, visit the ancient town of Hoi An, Phuc Kien pagoda, Chua Cau (Bridge pagoda), Sa Huynh museum, Hoi An market, Thanh Ha pottery village and the My Son temple complex in Quang Nam province.

The tourist will travel to Hue City where they can take a boat trip on the Huong (Perfume) River and visit Thien Mu pagoda, Minh Mang tomb and the Dai Noi (Royal Palace).
