Vietnam Telecom International, a subsidiary of the Vietnam Posts and Telecomunications Group, inaugurated the VSAT-IP network on the morning of April 28.

The network will provide such services as telephone, broadband Internet access, channels for lease, a virtual network, conference television and online TV.

The VSAT-IP system had built 124 stations by November 2005, helping VNPT reach its goal of universalising phone services in 100 percent of communes nationwide – one of the 10 ICT prominent events of 2005.

The current complete VSAT-IP network includes high-quality terrestrial, satellite and IP equipment and service examination.
