The Prime Minister has decided to draw over VND1,000 billion from the government’s financial reserves this year to help 51 provinces invest in numerous dyke and dam reinforcement projects.
The PM has asked the Ministry of Planning and Investment to direct localities to use the source effectively and responsibly.
He has also requested provincial people’s committees to use local standby funds and mobilise other financial sources to invest in urgent construction works to prevent further flooding.
