The event is one of many activities the GE Vietnam has brought to orphans in the lead up to Christmas this year. A similar free film show will be organized in Ho Chi Minh City.

The GE Vietnam is a branch of the US giant GE Group. Since it established its representative offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 1993, GE Vietnam has worked with partners such as Vietnam Airlines, the Vietnam Railway Corporation, Electricity of Vietnam and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam).

With its 50 staff members in Vietnam, GE Vietnam has made significant contributions to the community such as handing over scholarships to poor students through the GE Fund and the GE Voluntary Organization’s social activities.
