Vietnam values ties with Slovakia

(VOV) - Deputy Foreign Minister cum Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has affirmed Vietnam’s recognition of high importance to developing the ties of friendship and all-round cooperation with Eastern European countries, including Slovakia.

Meeting with Slovak ambassador Igor Pacolak in Hanoi on March 27, Minh expressed his pleasure at the growing trade cooperation between the two countries over the past years, with bilateral trade hitting US$417 million in 2013, up 39% from the previous year.

Deputy PM Minh also thanked the Slovak Government for favourable conditions it has provided for the Vietnamese community in the country and assured that the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries will help the ambassador fulfil his tasks.

The Slovak diplomat said he will do all he can during his term to contribute to tightening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Slovakia.
