The Party, State and people never forget the great contributions of war invalids, martyrs and revolutionary families to the country’s struggles for national independence.
State President Nguyen Minh Triet made the remarks while meeting with a delegation of war invalids and families of fallen combatants in Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh province on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).

The Party and State always attach great importance to caring for social beneficiaries in an effort to reward the enormous sacrifice of fallen soldiers, the State leader said.

During wartime, Luong Tai, an agricultural district re-established in 1999, along with localities across the country, greatly assisted the battlefields, demonstrating heroic and resilient spirit.

With over 1,400 war invalids and sick soldiers, around 2,200 martyrs’ families and nearly 100 heroic Vietnamese mothers, the district has been awarded the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces by the Party and State.
