Ten more methadone treatment facilities to be formed in Hanoi

(VOV) -The Hanoi Health Department is set to establish additional 10 methadone treatment centres for drug addicts by February 1 with the purpose of helping them reduce dependence on drugs.

It now has seven clinics providing methadone therapy for approximately 1,700 addicts, equivalent to only 8% of the total.  It sets a target of having 8,500 people treated with methadone in 2015.
