Japanese pottery exhibition opens in HCM City

An exhibition entitled “Japanese Pottery: The Rising Generation from Traditional Japanese Kilns” opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 14.

Organised by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, the event introduces porcelain products by 35 Japanese artisans who come from seven major ceramic production areas in Japan.

Using porcelain and clay, the artisans capture the beauty of the Japanese culture and lifestyle. Deep blue, white, grey and yellow dominate their works, mostly vessels and pots.

The exhibition will close at the end of the month at 92 Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1.
