VOV.VN - The Vietnam national men’s football team slipped one notch to the 145th position in the latest FIFA world rankings released for May.

The squad placed second behind the Philippines in Southeast Asia, who ranked 115th in the world.

The top 10 teams across the globe in descending order of total points scored are Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Spain, Uruguay and England.

“In the coming months, the team has plenty of opportunity to improve their ranking,” said Coach Nguyen Huu Thang, most notably at an upcoming friendly match with the Syrian team on May 31 at My Dinh Stadium.
