VFF appeals for supporting flood victims

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has launched a fund-raising program to help flood victims in the south central region.

VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan appealed for all people inside and outside Vietnam to uphold the spirit of “the haves help the halves-not” to offer cash and kind assistance for the affected people to stabilize their lives.

At a ceremony on December 20, the VFF received donations worth US$360,000. The recent floods claimed the lives of 59 people and caused losses estimated at US$90 million.
