The purpose of the site is to improve public awareness of territorial borders, and strengthen friendship and cooperation with neighbouring countries.

The website, built and operated by the NBC, also aims to counter incorrect information and arguments on issues pertaining to Vietnam’s territorial borders.

The website comprises of 10 main categories of information, including news, related events, legislation, historical documents, maps, international law, a photo library, useful information and a column for researchers.
