Vietnam win four golds at Asian Sanda event

Vietnamese martial artists returned home on December 18 with four golds won at the first Wushu Sanda Asian Cup held in China. 

The winners are Chu Thị Thuy Hang in the women’s 55kg, Nguyen Thi Trang in the women’s 60kg, Ngo Tien Tuan in the men’s 48kg and To Van Bau in the men’s 56kg.

The three-day event, which took place at Gaoming Sports Centre in Foshan, attracted martial artists competing in 11weight categories for men and six divisions for women.

The gold medalists were awarded US$1,500 each.

The event was hosted by the Chinese Wushu Association and Wushu Federation of Asia.
