Int’l delegates show solidarity with Vietnam on 40th anniversary of Paris Agreement
(VOV) - Foreign delegates have participated in diverse programs in Hanoi and HCM City from January 24-28 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam.
They said the Paris Agreement paved the way for the final victory of the Vietnamese people in their struggles for national liberation and reunification after decades of war.
They declared support for the Vietnamese people’s efforts to protect national independence and territorial sovereignty and build a prosperous, fair, democratic and civilized Vietnam.
Many expressed great admiration for the Vietnamese fighting heroically against foreign aggressors and sacrificing themselves for the national independence and sovereignty of Vietnam, as well as deep sympathy for those suffering the lingering consequences of Agent Orange spayed by the US army during the war.
