Central Military Commission urged to build stronger Party

VOV.VN - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has called on the Central Military Commission to continue consulting with the Party and State, improve the quality of military training, focus on the defense industry, and promote external defense work. 

Chairing the year-end meeting of the Central Military Commission in Hanoi on December 15, the Party chief, who is also Secretary of the Commission, urged for further efforts to build a stronger Party and protect justice. 

He said the Commission should stay united and resolute to accomplish tasks for next year and implement the Resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress. 

He praised the Military Party Committee for fulfilling all tasks set for the year, including offering strategic advices to the Party and State on national defence and military affairs, thus helping maintain political stability and peaceful environment for national development. 

The major tasks for 2018 – a key year to implement Resolutions by the 12th National Party Congress and the 10th Military Party Congress, including closely monitoring of domestic and international situations to offer accurate and timely advices to the Party and State, improving military training quality, and developing defence industry and defence external relations. 

At the meeting, Central Military Commission members conducted criticism and self-criticism in line with the Resolution of the fourth plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee.
