120 skaters show off skills at 5th ASEAN champs

The 5th ASEAN Inline Freestyle Skating Championship opened in Vung Tau city, the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on June 22.

The tournament brings together 120 skaters aged between 7 and 25 from Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, China and Vietnam.

They are competing in two main events namely Slalom and Roller Cross for 43 sets of medals.

Eddie Chua, head of the International Federation of Roller Sports (FIRS) Inline Freestyle Technical Committee, said the tournament offers a chance for skaters to sharpen their skills and share experience.

The championship will run until June 24.
