A Chilean online newspaper termed Vietnam as a prospect economy in Asia that has had one of the world’s highest economic growth rates in recent years and has become one of the world’s most promising investment destinations.

According to Chile's export promotion agency ProChile, Vietnam-Chile trade exchange stood at US$177,379 million last year, up 9 percent from 2007. In the past seven months, two-way trade turnover already reached US$147.71 million, up 39.3 percent from last year.
